New research points to artificial light because of the dramatic rise of breast cancer throughout the world. Researchers have long believed that artificial light during the night could lead to breast cancer. It is thought that artificial light interferes with the normal sleep pattern. Studies show rising breast cancer rates in countries that are wealthy may be caused by light. The wealthier countries are five times more likely to have women develop breast cancer.

Green tea has been said to have many health benefits. Some have been scientifically proven; others are still considered “old-wives tales.” One new benefit that is being researched is the claim that green tea can help prevent breast cancer and to help in fighting the disease. The Chinese have used green tea for medicinal purposes. They have used green tea to treat different diseases for over 4000 years.

The importance of vitamins was recognized during ancient history. The Egyptians recognized that foods with Vitamin A could improve night blindness. Of course they didn’t know 3500 years ago that what they were missing in their body was Vitamin A! Each generation has recognized the importance of vitamins and then assumed they had learned all there was to know. That has been proven false over and over again.
