Aromatherapy Angelica

In the world of botanicals, Angelica is also referred to as “Garden Angelica”. Angelica was used in both Christian and early religious rituals and for protection from evil spirits. It was once called The Root of The Holy Spirit, because its properties were so far spread for its sacred value. Another name for Angelica is “the Angels Herb” and during the Middle Ages, many believed that it was given for use by the archangel Michael.

Over the years, Angelica has been used to purify blood, treat nervousness, and was considered to be the miracle herb that could cure all ailments. In fact, it was used to “cure” the Bubonic Plague.

The parts of the Angelica plant that are used include the seeds, leaves, and roots. Angelica today is used to treat cough, colds, respiratory conditions, asthma, allergies, and sinus infections. Angelica has also been used to successfully treat nervousness, stomach ailments, and helps to stimulate the appetite. It has been believed to remove all poisons and toxins from the body.

You may boil the roots of the Angelica plant to create your own infusion. Adding honey to the infusion will create a palatable form of Angelica that you may drink for a total body purifier.

It is important to note that Angelica may stimulate uterine contractions, and therefore it shouldn’t be used during pregnancy. It also may make your skin more sensitive to UV rays, so stay clear of direct sunlight when using Angelica Root.

For sinus conditions or any respiratory ailments, you can make your own Angelica inhalant by boiling any part of the Angelica plant (root, flowers, seeds, leaves), and inhaling the steam. You can also make a blend of the Essential Oils and add it directly to your bathwater or vaporizer. Angelica can be mixed with other Essential Oils for even greater healing properties. Oils that can be blended with Angelica include Eucalyptus, Rosemary, and Juniper.

Try blending three drops of Angelica with 3 drops of Eucalyptus for a powerful aromatic bath that will open up the sinuses, and relieve nasal and chest congestion. If you find the bath to be overwhelming, simply add the mixture to a pot of boiling water or vaporizer and breathe in the healing vapors.

Blending Angelica with citrus-based oils can instill moods and emotional healing. Orange for instance, has been revered for its association with happiness and other citrus based herbs also work well with Angelica to create an emotional basis for happiness and helps to treat depression and other long term stress related mental conditions. Blend Angelica with Orange, Lemon, Lime, and Grapefruit and add to your vaporizer for maximum benefits. You can also use citrus-based aromatherapy candles as part of your treatment. If you are sensitive to soot and other negative residue from candles, then try citrus-based Soy Wax aromatherapy candles. These candles are made from 100 percent organic soy and are known for their ability to “burn clean”. This means that they will not leave any soot or pollution causing ingredients behind or during the burning process.

Aromatherapy and the Power of Breath

When people think of Aromatherapy, usually the first thing that comes to mind is reducing stress and relieving tension. However, the effects of Aromatherapy are much more wide spread than calming nerves and emotions. The power of fragrance can excite and stimulate the body as well as the mind. Have you ever noticed your first reaction to an unpleasant smell? Many times, the first response is to turn the body away from pungent odors or to clasp the hands over the nose or mouth. The exact opposite is true from pleasant smells. In fact, the power of pleasing fragrance is so strong that it causes people to open their arms wide, toss their heads back, and take a deep breath. It is in fact breathing that is the power source of life and by breathing deeply, one will clean out the body, purify their blood, and increase their circulation therefore increasing their vitality and stamina.

The natural world is full of both exciting and delicious as well as pungent and horrific scents. Often it is our sense of smell that can lead us to determine if sickness is present, even if death is imminent. Yes, it is true; life and death both have identifying scents. It is only plausible then that you can enhance or detract from your life by the scents that surround you. Your physical realm is identified by the scents you experience.

Often times, many chemical products try to counterfeit the natural scents that were given to mankind. The rich fragrance of an orange grove in blossom becomes “Citrus in a Can” and a garden of roses in bloom is turned into “eau de cologne of rose”. However, there is no need to substitute these natural gems into chemical counterfeits. There are many techniques and processes available that will allow you to harvest these aromas year round, no matter what season, and not only are these aromas natural, they still contain the same healing properties that they did in the wild.

The first sign that there is trouble in life comes through the breath. Shallow breathing, pollution, and sickness can rob someone of their vitality and energy. Aromatherapy is a beneficial tool to combat these ills and to restore the art of breathing to the body. Those who practice Yoga understand the value of the Complete Breath. The Complete Breath will bring the body into balance, restore harmony between the mind and the spirit, and will instantly refresh the body with peacefulness and tranquility. Aromatherapy will enhance the Complete Breath and will bring with it the added benefits of herbal remedies.

At first, you may find that it is hard to breathe deeply or notice the purity of the scents when practicing Aromatherapy. This will subside in time and the more you clear your mind and body, the greater your results from Aromatherapy will be. As you learn to breathe deeply and practice the healing benefits of Aromatherapy, you will begin to see vitality, energy, and zest return to your life.

Aromatherapy and Skin Rejuvenation

The body’s largest organ is the skin. It keeps all of the other important body parts in check, and is our barrier to the world. The skin is an amazing creation, when it gets cut; it heals itself, and is constantly renewing itself with cell regeneration daily. As we age however, the properties that made our skin a miraculous work of art, begins to slow down, and our skin begins to show signs of wear and tear. For women, one of the most often complained about skin conditions are stretch marks. These are tiny scars in the underlying tissues of the skin, caused to sudden rapid weight gain or weight loss. Pregnant women aren’t the only ones to succumb to these unsightly tears either. Weightlifters, dieters, and anyone who has had a sudden weight gain or loss may bear the record of their transformation in their skin.

As the body ages, skin begins to lose the resiliency and elasticity that it once had. This causes wrinkling in various parts of the skin that are under continuous use. Examples of these areas are the “laugh lines” or the smile lines, Crows feet, and the forehead area.

Aside from scarring and wrinkling, some people are prone to having dry, oily, or sensitive skin. For those with dry skin, they may continually suffer from itchiness, flakiness, or areas that are chapped. Oily skin may contribute to frequent breakouts as well as a feeling that one may need to continually wash their face. Sensitive skin may be prone to redness, irritation, and frequently break out in allergic type reactions.

There are a host of other skin ailments that can make life unbearable for the sufferer. Some of these include Eczema, Psoriasis, or frequent painful boils which may be caused by an underlying Staph infection under the skin.

There are certain steps that people can take to ensure the health, vitality, and beauty of their skin. The first area one needs to look at when considering skin health is diet and exercise. Proper diet for the skin includes eating rich organic foods, staying away from refined flours and sugar, and drinking plenty of mineral rich water daily. Exercise may not be more than a daily brisk walk for 20 minutes, but at the least, this is enough exercise to keep the body functioning properly.

Aromatherapy also offers many benefits to those who are actively seeking remedies for skin conditions and looking for ways to repair or rejuvenate their skin. Because the skin consists of many pores, Aromatherapy is one of the most effective ways to treat skin conditions. Using steam, baths, and vapors, the skin will absorb the properties of your selected herbs immediately.

Treatment for skin conditions using Aromatherapy includes taking aromatic baths, drinking and soaking in herbal infusions, applying Aromatherapy creams and lotions, and using herbal toners. Some of the most effective herbs for skin rejuvenation include Rosehip, Calendula, Orange and other Citrus oils, Almond and Macadamia Nut oil, Horsetail, Shea Butter, Rosemary, Lavender, Ylang Ylang, and Aloe Vera.

Aromatherapy and Safety Precautions

At first glance, it may seem strange to think of safety precautions with Aromatherapy. After all, Aromatherapy uses scents so what could be dangerous about that, right? Well, actually there is plenty of concern to be warranted when using essential oils and Aromatherapy. The essential oils used in Aromatherapy are concentrated forms of plants and herbs. Because these oils are highly concentrated, they can be very irritating to skin if they are directly applied. Every essential oil is different and has different properties. It is because of the high concentration that essential oils need to be diluted either in an infusion or in carrier oil. The only essential oils that are recommended for direct application to the skin are Tea Tree oil, and Lavender. These oils are often applied directly to the skin in cases of insect bites, skin rashes, or eruptions.

As with any product, you should also check to see if you have any allergic reactions before using essential oils. The good news is that you may have an allergic reaction to a plant or herb in a different form, but not have the same allergic reaction to the essential oil. To test for an allergic reaction, apply a small amount of the essential oil to an inconspicuous part of the body. Fourteen hours is plenty of time to wait and see if there is any reaction in the test area. If you have no reaction, it is safe to assume that you are not allergic to that particular oil.

You should take special care when using essential oils on children. You should check for any allergic reactions with children, as you would with yourself before using various oils on children. When using essential oils with children, use one half of the dose that you would normally use with an adult. It is best to avoid all toxic essential oils with children and stick with those that are gentle and non-toxic. However, when used wisely, essential oils may replace many over the counter medications and remedies and may be considered as Mother’s best friend.

Even though many essential oils are edible, it isn’t recommended that beginners take them orally. There is an art and science behind Aromatherapy and the usage of essential oils. It is best to err on the side of caution and this means not to use essential oils in any way unless you have been properly trained.

Pregnant women need to exercise caution when using essential oils. Many oils may even cause premature labor. Here is a list of essential oils and herbs that should never be used by pregnant women, these herbs encourage menstruation and can cause a miscarriage. The herbs to be avoided are Myrrh, Rue, Horsetail, Mugwort, Prickly Ash, Black Cohosh, Blue Cohosh, Gentian, Blessed Thistle, Beth Root, Damiana, Chamomile, Black Haw, Goldenseal, Motherwort, Pennyroyal, Angelica, Safflower, Tansy, and American Mistletoe.

These herbs are determined to be very toxic and most Aromatherapists recommend not using them at all: Arnica, Camphor, Jaborandi, Mustard, Narcissus, Nutmeg, Parsley, Rue, Tansy, Turmeric, Wormseed, and Wormwood.

Aromatherapy and Respiratory Illness

Aromatherapy has many wonderful benefits for treating various Respiratory Infections and illnesses. Respiratory Illnesses carry symptoms such as coughing, congestion, sinus pressure or nasal congestion, and if not treated, it can lead to more serious illnesses such as Bronchitis or Pneumonia.

Aromatherapy is a great way to treat these symptoms due to the fact that steam is used to open up the pores and breathe in the various healing qualities of herbal remedies and plant extracts. There are many different herbs that will help to expel mucous from the lungs and will assist in the healing of the body during a respiratory infection.

If you are interested in taking an Aromatic bath for the sole purpose of treating a Respiratory Illness, here are some herbs that you should consider adding to your regime.

Eucalyptus is a great herb that has successfully treated coughs due to colds and flu for hundreds of years In fact, during the 1800’s; Eucalyptus became wide spread for the treatment of coughs and colds and as use as an inhalant. Eucalyptus is often a main ingredient in cough drops, and vapor rubs. It blends well with Camphor and Menthol as well as Lavender, Peppermint, Rosewood, and Wintergreen. Combine any of these oils or mix and match with complimentary Aromatherapy candles for a powerful treatment that will help you to breathe clear and easily. You can make an infusion with Eucalyptus and adding it to an aromatic bath for immediate relief from congestion and cough. Eucalyptus and Peppermint oils blended together will make a wonderful inhalant when added to a vaporizer. You can also drink Eucalyptus tea or make your own infusion and sip it warm for internal relief.

Anise is another fantastic herb that has a history of treating Respiratory Illnesses. Anise has successfully been used in the treatment of Bronchitis and coughs due to colds and flu. It has estrogen like properties, so it isn’t recommended for use in pregnant women. However, Anise blends well with Lavender, Cedarwood, Rosewood, Orange and Tangerine. Anise has a delicious aroma that resembles black licorice and is a wonderful addition to your Aromatherapy recipes. Try drinking Anise that has been infused and then sweetened for a healthy, powerful, and delicious tea.

Hyssop was once revered as a sacred herb. It is mentioned in the Bible and was renowned for its ability to purify a place and make it holy. Hyssop is also known for its expectorant qualities, and is therefore an herb of choice when dealing with Respiratory Infection. Hyssop blends well with Lavender, Clove, Sage, Rosemary, and other Citrus-based oils. Hyssop baths are recommended for full body Aromatherapy relief of chest congestions, coughs, and as an expectorant. Make an infusion of fresh Hyssop flowers and put them in a cloth bag. The bag should allow for water to easily pass through the bag while not allowing the herbs to escape. Keep the infusion in the bath while you soak for at least 20-30 minutes. If you have previously made an infusion, the infusion may be sweetened and will promote healing internally. You can also add your ready-made infusion directly to your bathwater.

Aromatherapy and Recovery from Addictions

Anxiety, fear, stress, and depression are on the rise and the result unfortunately is that many people turn to addictions to counteract and self medicate the emotional pain they are struggling with. Addictions can range from sexual, food, tobacco, alcohol, caffeine, prescription medication, sugar, carbohydrates, and illegal street drugs. Some people are generally more susceptible to developing an addiction because of their personalities.

Addictions may start off small, and the person who has the addiction may not even realize that an addiction is forming. They may believe that they are in control of the addiction and think of themselves as a “casual user” of the substance they are in fact addicted to. The basic definition of an addiction is compulsion. The compulsion will lead a person to repetitively perform the same action, ex. Smoking cigarettes, drinking until intoxicated, using street drugs, no matter what the result of the action may be. Most people who are addicted, addicts, realize that they have a problem and have no control over the substance that they are addicted to.

Most people are aware that smoking can cause lung cancer; they cough continuously and feel short of breath daily. They can dream about a life without cigarettes, yet when they wake up in the morning, the first thing they do is light a cigarette and smoke. They are addicted and feel powerless to break the addiction.

One of the saddest and most prevalent addictions in America is the addition to illegal street drugs. Drugs such as Crack Cocaine, Chrystal Meth, and Heroin have destroyed the lives of addicts, their children, and those around them. These addictions can become so powerful and controlling that addicts will steal, kill, and destroy anyone who gets in the way of their next “fix” or “high”.

Addictions are emotional as well as physical. In the case of those who are addicted to illegal drugs, the physical results of not having the drug may at times be worse than the physical results of taking the drug itself.

It may take a lot of hard work to break free from an addiction. Often the underlying root of an addiction may be an emotional or spiritual wound. The addiction is often a symptom of someone who is trying to cover up emotional pain, memories, or even a condition such as Clinical Depression. Therapy must be used to help people become free from the addiction and begin to enjoy their lives again. When addicts recover they may in fact be repulsed and shocked by some of their behaviors that they performed while “under the influence” of the addictive substance. It is important to realize that therapy does not stop once the physical side of the addiction is broken. There may also need to be a course of therapy devoted to restoring self-esteem and overcoming guilt and shame.

Aromatherapy may be used along with the selected course of treatment to help break addictions and assist with times of relaxation and helping restore normal functions of the human body. There are many herbs that will help break the physical effects of the addiction, as well as herbs that can help treat the physical symptoms of recovery and withdrawal. An aromatic massage may be a wonderful way to relax and help the body to recover. Here are some herbs that may be added to carrier oil for an addiction breaking massage. All of these herbs will help in the recovery process, Sandalwood, Lavender, Geranium, Vetiver, Myrtle, and Angelica Root.

Aromatherapy and Pets: Flea Repellant

Aromatherapy is the art and science of using scent to stimulate the mind and emotions. Many plants and herbs that are used in Aromatherapy also have medicinally value. Thousands of years ago, many “medicines” were comprised of these herbal remedies and their various combinations together. These treatments were not only used to treat human ailments but were also used in the early forms of veterinarian care. Today, many people have neglected the value of many herbal remedies when it comes to the care of their pets.

After the industrial revolution and as science and knowledge had become more prevalent, the door was opened to using prepared commercial products for treating ailments, for both animal and human alike. Today, pharmaceutical companies abound and when there is any ailment, one looks for a “prescription” as a cure for all. Unfortunately, many people and pets are suffering from an over use of “prescription” medications. The body isn’t allowed to build up its own defenses in fighting off many germs, bacteria, and viruses and becomes dependent upon antibiotics. Now, many strains are becoming antibiotic resistant and the result is disastrous. Prescription medication does have its place in health and healing, but it should be reserved for the last resort, not the first choice to combat illness.

Herbs still hold great value in treating various conditions today. Many herbs range in their inherent properties and are useful as antiseptics, germicides, for purifying the bloodstream, as sedatives, stimulants and a host of more wonderful and beneficial properties.

Pets also, can greatly benefit from many of the benefits found in natural herbs and plants.
In fact, many of the plants that are beneficial to humans provide the same results in animals. This wasn’t news to our grandparents and their grandparents however. What is now deemed as “old wives tales” or “folk remedies” at one time served as the only physician or medicine available.

Parasitic insects such as fleas and ticks cause many of the ailments that plague pets. It is very important to realize how devastating these creatures are to the health of your pet. Powders, sprays, shampoo and conditioners, and collars are all used in an attempt to destroy these pests. Sprays are used to kill them in your pets sleeping area, however using chemicals may actually pose a hazard to your pet. Studies continually show that many of the remedies are in fact harmful to your pet. You should choose any commercial product carefully, and make sure that you read the safety instructions thoroughly before applying any product to your pet.

Often times pets can develop skin conditions such as rashes, or fungal infections. The same herbs that are effective in treating these conditions are suitable for use in your pet. Some examples of herbs that are effective on the skin include Black Walnut, Garlic, Echinacea, Barberry, Juniper, Saw Palmetto, Myrrh, Thyme, Plantain, Rosemary, and Goldenseal.

A wonderful herb that you should always have on hand for your pets is Tea Tree. Tea Tree is an antiseptic, anti fungal, and is powerful in aiding healing in wounds, cuts, and prevents infection. Lemon Tea Tree is a natural insect repellant and may be applied directly to your pet without fear of any harm.

Aromatherapy and Joy, Peace, and Happiness

In today’s society, many people are living lives without joy, peace, or happiness. Depression, anxiety, and fear have become the norm and out of lack of fulfillment, people are turning to unhealthy addictions to fill the pain that lies within. Depression has become the standard and people are being prescribed anti depressants on a daily basis. If you are depressed it is important that you do whatever it takes to find meaning, purpose, and joy in your life once again. If you are already on a course of inner healing through various therapeutic practices, it is important that you dedicate yourself to working hard at your recovery. Psychiatry offers many alternatives for those who need to escape the sadness, gloom, and despair that they are faced with. However, some people do not feel comfortable taking medications and look for alternatives that are natural and healthy. This is where Aromatherapy has shown to be very helpful in this area.

There is a delicate balance between the body, mind, and spirit and like delicate threads that have been gently woven; it doesn’t take much pull to break one of the threads. When pressures from life pull on the body, mind, emotions, and spirit those threads begin to bend under the heavy weight. If you notice that you are losing your sense of joy and peace then you need to take immediate action to counteract the negative effects of depression, whether or not you decide to seek treatment with a psychiatrist. Depression is a serious illness and it must be treated immediately.

Sometimes the loss of excitement for life may be triggered by certain changes in one’s life. These may include a new job or loss of one, a death by someone close to you, divorce, stress, financial problems, or ill physical health. The depression may also be hormonal related and may be attributed to issues such as menopause or child. These facts may be the very root of what is causing the sudden loss of interest in life.

It is also important to realize that sometimes seasonal changes can affect your body, mind, and emotions. If this is the situation, than along with Aromatherapy, you may need to add light therapy to your course of treatment.

Aromatherapy can lift your mood and help restore a sense of joy and happiness to your senses. The power of scent is strong and by combining Aromatherapy with herbal essential oils, you can also use herbs that are recommended for treating specific physical symptoms of depression, while benefiting from the richly aromatic Aromatherapy.

You should also watch children and the elderly for signs of depression. Often when children become depressed, concerned parents rest on the false notion that it is simply a fad, and that the will grow out of it. This simply isn’t so. Both children and the elderly need to be safeguarded against depression.

One way to combat the effects of depression, fear, and anxiety is to create a wonderful Joy, Peace, and Happiness aroma. By combining the essential oils: Orange, Bergamot, and Ylang Ylang you will an instant pick me up that will boost your senses, as well as your spirit.

Aromatherapy’s First Aid Kit

Every good mother understands the importance of carrying a first aid kit. You never know when your child may fall down, scrape their knee, or need an antiseptic. The importance of antiseptics and health is prevalent in our society. Products from kitchen cleaners to body scrubs contain antiseptic and germ killing properties. The number one rule of health is hand washing, and this is still the number one way to fight illness and disease. Hand washing is important after using the restroom, handling meat and other items in the kitchen, and when taking care of or in close association with other people.

Killing germs, bacteria, and virus is very important to preventing the spread of sicknesses such as Staph, Strep, and viruses. Before there was Clorox and Lysol, many people relied upon the use of natural plants and herbs for their antiseptic properties. These plants and herbs are just as effective today in treating germs and killing them, as they were hundreds of years ago. Some of the most common herbs that have natural antiseptic properties include: Barberry, Beth Root, Black Walnut, Buchu, Echinacea, Garlic, Goldenseal, Chaparral, Juniper Berry, Myrrh, Nettle, Plantain, Rosemary, White Oak, Thyme, Saw Palmetto, and Oregon Grape Root. These herbs also have natural antibiotic properties as well. These herbs help prevent the growth and spread of viruses, bacteria, and germs.

Bacteria grow in a moist environment. This is why when your child gets a cut or a scrape, the body is now open and has created the perfect environment for bacterial growth. By applying an antiseptic solution to the wound immediately will help prevent the growth of bacteria. Bacteria will also grow in places such as your kitchen counter, sink, and even your kitchen sponge. That is why it is important that you consistently use antibacterial and antiseptic products in your home.

Some of the most common antiseptics that are used today in a variety of products include alcohol, benzalkonim chloride (a common skin disinfectant), boric acid, hydrogen peroxide, iodine, phenol, sodium chloride, and sodium hypochlorite. Along with these chemical solutions, you can create many of your own herbal remedies that have just as many antiseptic properties by using the plants that are known to be effective germ fighters. Many of the natural antiseptics may be used to treat conditions such as mouth sores, gingivitis, wound and cut cleaning, yeast infections, and for disinfecting the house.

Aromatherapy is a powerfully effective tool that can assist you in your germ killing fight. You can create your own healthy sprays and disinfectants. You can also burn aromatherapy candles that have natural antiseptic properties. There are also many herbs that are natural insect repellants. You can make air fresheners with the oils of plants that will repel insects. These aromatic sprays are much more then air fresheners they are disinfectants, germ killers, and insect repellants.

You can make your own portable first aid antiseptic kit that you can carry in your purse. This is the perfect remedy for treating cuts and wounds when you are out and about and may not have immediate access to soap, water, and other disinfectants. To make your own first aid kit, use antiseptic Lavender, Manuka, and Tea Tree. Tea Tree is one of the most powerful antiseptic herbs. It grows in Australia and is an excellent antibiotic and antiseptic.

Aromatherapy Antiseptic Remedies

Bacteria, viruses, and mold can plague our bodies, our houses, the outdoors, our clothes, and work their way through any opening they can find. Whether it is a cut in the skin, or a spot left on a wall, nothing can prevent these substances from occurring, but we can stop them in their tracks, as soon as they begin to form.

Antiseptic remedies and treatments are a very important part of the overall health of our society. Yet, there are many people who prefer more organic and gentle treatments to harsh chemicals and medicines when it comes to combating these forces. When it comes to cleaning the house, bleach, ammonia, and chemical sprays such as Lysol promise to kill mold, germs, bacteria, and viruses. Some however do not appreciate the fumes left behind from these chemical cleaners.

There are many natural and organic plants and herbs that have intrinsic antiseptic properties that are suitable for cleaning homes as well as for preventing infection in minor cuts and wounds. These herbal remedies were used well before the industrial revolution and are just as effective today.

When combining aromatherapy with the benefits of antiseptic remedies we serve a double purpose. Aromatherapy can release the benefits of antiseptic remedies into the air, where they are released to cleanse the air. They can also be used to repel insects naturally and organically. Some methods of aromatherapy include bathing, and infusions such as soaking the hands and feet, or inhalation methods such as vaporizers. You can also use aromatherapy candles. These candles are made with essential oils and may be made out of organic wax such as Soy.
For skin that is infected, or has eruptions, soaking in an aromatherapy bath can provide great relief as well as results. You can create an aromatherapy bath by adding a few drops of your specified essential oil directly into the bath water, or by using fresh herbs, crushed seeds, or roots which have been added to a muslin or mesh bag. These can be infused into the bath water. Whichever method you prefer, make sure that the water is hot and that you soak for at least 20-30 minutes. Keeping the bathroom door closed will allow the steam to remain in the room adding greater benefits to your aromatherapy bath.

Try burning aromatherapy candles as you soak in your bath as well. Dim the lights, or turn them off completely and just relax with the illuminating glow of your fragrant healing candles.

Some of the most effective antiseptic essential oils include: Bergamot, Arnica, Arrowroot, Benzoin Gum, Camphor, Clove, Echinacea, Barberry, Myrrh, and Rosemary. Before adding essential oils to bath water, make sure that they won’t cause skin irritation. If your skin can handle it, Garlic oil is highly antiseptic and cleansing but if you find it too harsh for topical application, take it either raw or in capsule form for internal healing as well.

Burning antiseptic candles will bring freshness to your home. Look for candles that contain Clove, Myrrh, Frankincense, or Rosemary for a wonderful refreshing treat. Citrus-based candles will also bring antiseptic properties as well as leave a marvelous scent behind, consider orange, tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, or lime.
